Plastic Tape Vs Stapler (about Book Cover)

Aloha! This draft was attached to the dashboard of my blog for a long time. Unfortunately, due to rush (or laziness?) Only now finally this post is complete.

Well, the idea originated from my little question is no longer to be so simple when I figure out which way is more efficient to put a plastic cover on collection of favorite books. Considering we're talking about favorite books, of course, that there is in our minds is to keep one's precious possessions in order to survive as long as possible in the closet. I personally prefer the plastic cover instead of plain brown paper cover (it sounded like elementary school kids writing books) that allows me to continue to admire cover books collection. In addition, it is easier to find a book that we find with the plastic cover. Then which one I choose to glue the plastic cover on the book? Transparent tape or a staple gun?

At first I prefer the transparent tape. Besides being looked neater, duct tape will not make a hole in the cover of the book as done by stapler. But there's another problem. When the book was aged about 3 or 4 years or more in the closet, have often read themselves or borrowed a friend, it's time to replace the plastic cover of the book which may be slightly torn or looking increasingly dim and shabby. And that means it must also release the tape-tape on the inside cover of the book. The result could have been tragic. Cover the inside of the book go to peel or parts of the remaining sticky tape and when we do not cover it perfectly when wrapping the next, will be attached to the first page of the book.

Masking tape can be easily removed by evaporation. But, by God, I do not have much time to do that. So I took a shortcut by changing the type of plastic cover of my book with a rather thick plastic cover so easy to fold (we can easily find it in the supermarket or stationery in the form of rolls). And I no longer worry when it comes time to replace the plastic cover of the book is outdated. It's easy to do. We just stayed the plastic cut to size book, fold it carefully with the help of scissors to press and smoothed the pleats. But of course the use of this technique will be efficient only on the books with soft cover.

If for thick books ... it seems I still have to ask the help of duct tape for this one. It's just as efficient and its use should be kept to a minimum so as not to leave a lot of the former if reopened. And when you want to replace it, should be done by evaporation so that the glue on the tape can be easily removed. What about you guys?
